Biography:
Heather Brunetti (b.1978) is an American figurative artist best known for her moody oil portraits and depictions of human sentiment with big impact. Heather’s paintings often include intense detail and photorealistic textiles, though in recent works she has been experimenting with a bolder more expressive style. Heather was born in Cincinnati, OH and now lives and paints out of Louisville, KY.
Heather Brunetti depicts moody characters from all walks of life. Her subjects show emotion and depth; they are characters that invite the viewer to ponder their situations, sometimes painted with a hint of satire. Brunetti’s portraits often contain effects of depth and perspective giving them a feeling of occupying true space. Paying close attention to detail and painting textiles with high realism, her paintings are a playground for the eye.

I am forever a student of the arts. I strive to grow my techniques and abilities to better communicate with a community I adore. My goal is to spark curiosity and wonder through relaying a real feeling of depth and volume. I want my viewers to feel as though they occupy the same space as my subjects. I long to capture thoughts and feelings not easily expressed with words and communicate it through a familiar thread of experience that runs through us all.
